Good advice about the pros and cons of annuities. Annuities definitely make sense for some people, not for all people. It's really important to get good advice and look at your whole picture before looking at any products. Quite simply, there is no more efficient way to turn assets into income, but you really should be considering annuities to fill your base, guaranteed income needs, and not looking at them as a place for all your assets.

I've been included in taxes for longer then I care to admit, both on the personal side (all my employed life-time!!) and from a legal point of view since satisfying the bar and following tax law. I've offered a lot of advice and rectified a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you've posted makes complete sense. Please continue the good work - the more individuals know the better they'll be equipped to deal with the tax man, and that's what it's all about.
